Shirley Morrison
Shirley Morrison is a native of Onslow County. She graduated from the UNC at Chapel Hill, married a United States Marine, and now has one daughter, Alexandria. In 1988 she began her career in Real Estate with CENTURY 21® in Jacksonville. Shirley decided to take her career one step further and became co-owner of CENTURY 21 Advantage Gold Realty with Sherri Mayes in 2003. The company is built on integrity and giving the highest quality of service to their clients and customers.
Shirley brings a local presence and knowledge of Onslow County to the sales division. She has a proven individual track record and now focuses her efforts on the agents by surrounding them with a positive environment, making available the tools they need to be successful and a support staff that helps her achieve those goals.
Jeff Sweyer
In 1998, Jeff joined his parents in the business which was founded in 1987 by David and Polly Sweyer. The company now consists of sales offices covering areas from Wilmington to Hampstead. Jeff is a graduate of Clemson University with a marketing degree and is married with 2 children.
Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge to the sales division. With over 13 years in sales and invaluable training expertise, Jeff has led CENTURY 21 Sweyer to become one of the largest CENTURY 21® companies in the Southeast. Jeff establishes the goals and objectives of the organization and ensures their delivery according to our business plan. He analyzes and assesses continually the organization’s performance against the stated objectives.
Sherri Mayes
Sherri Mayes was born in Annapolis, Maryland as a Military Dependent and made Jacksonville her home in 1986. She graduated from White Oak High School, married her high school sweetheart and now has two beautiful children. In 1995 she began her career with CENTURY 21®. After years of overseeing the growth and success of the company she decided to take on a new challenge and became co-owner of the company, CENTURY 21 Advantage Gold Realty, with Shirley Morrison in 2003.
Approaching fifteen years experience in the Real Estate industry, she has worked closely in all aspects of Real Estate and in Property Management and has positioned herself to provide leadership and mentorship to her team. Sherri brings an abundance of experience and knowledge as she oversees our Jacksonville Property Management and Rental Division, Advantage Gold Realty.
Dave Sweyer
Dave also joined his parents in 1998. Dave is a Duke University Graduate is married and has two children. He is responsible for the daily operation of CENTURY 21 Sweyer & Associates and the Wilmington Rental & Property Management Division. He also leads business development efforts for the business to include mergers and acquisitions, new markets, and ancillary businesses.

In 2010, Shirley Morrison and Sherri Mayes met Dave and Jeff Sweyer. From the moment they met, they all knew they had the same core values and couldn’t wait to learn more about each other. Honesty and integrity are two traits that stood out, along with a desire to help everyone around them grow. It’s that kind of leadership that feeds excitement to help develop everyone around them. In 2011, they took their relationship one step further and decided to form a new locally owned joint venture in the Jacksonville NC market. The new company, operating as CENTURY 21 Sweyer & Associates Jacksonville, has combined the real estate operations of both firms. This strength and presence combined with the success, reputation and knowledge of both companies yields a synergy unsurpassed. They are able to put the resources of two great companies together to meet the varied needs of their clients and brokers.
The combined company is one of the largest real estate firms in the Jacksonville market and the largest CENTURY 21® franchise in North & South Carolina in closed sales.
